JINDABYNE OUTING 15-16 DECEMBER - ORGANISER IAN
Jindabyne is an excellent base for all forms of angling in both stream and lake and the fishing is usually good at this time of year. Most members stay at the Snowline Holiday Park near the Thredbo Road junction. If you wish to book your own accommodation the phone number is 1800 248 148 or 64562099. The web site www.bestonparks.com.au has full details and prices for the cabins and camp sites. I am happy to make a booking for any members who want to share a cabin - call me at home on 62886621 or mobile 0409446086.
In the past it's been hard to get everyone together at the one time on this outing because of the different fishing options. Perhaps we could meet at the barbecue area in the Snowline Holiday park at 1pm on the Saturday to compare notes.

Hi Bill,
Ian and moi took a trip to the Thredbo River at Jindabyne this morning where I managed to land this nice 52 cm (3lb 4 0zs dressed Rainbow Trout. on a nymph floated below a parachute adams. Also caught a 10>% inch brown trout and dropped another nice trout on a adams in the same hole that the pictured rainbow was caught. Seen some nice trout as we wandered down the river but they were very spooky in the clear water which is running reasonably well Not much surface action except in a couple of spots near the elms and most fish spotted were down deep.
Cheers
Peter
p.s the fish originally weighed 8.5 lbs but in her fight for freedom lost a hell of a lot of weight (that's a joke lol)

Well, my secret fly failed me – what can I say. Even Allan caught only one small one on Sunday morning. Meantime the lure fishermen did a little better with (from memory, Ian doing best with three)

Allan in his inflatable kayak – why is it that everyone follows my lead with kayaks and Foresters J
