Previous Minutes

Minutes were read.

Inwards Correspondence

Received mail from Council for Freshwater Anglers including a copy of the NSW Recreational Fishing Alliance’s DVD on rock fishing safety – available for loan from the CAA library, extra copies can be request from RFA’s Joe Garufi at jgred@bigpond.com.

Also enclosed was a NSW DPI booklet “What fish is this?” Extra free copies are available at NSW DPI offices.

Treasurer’s Report

$1532.77 at bank. Outstanding debts of $128 for Post Office box charges and $117.90 for the fly vices purchased for Stuart’s fly class use.

It was argued that if the club wanted to participate in the NSW dollar for dollar funding offer for fish stocking next year, then the club balance will need to be stronger.

Fishing Reports

The Saltwater Trophy (ACT Angler Trophy – originally donated by Wayne Loddington who ran a tackle shop in Lonsdale Street.) was belatedly presented to Stefan. For the next time this will be awarded, it will be presented to the angler who is voted by participants to have caught the best fish on the club Coast Outing (17 May).

The club did a round table fishing report.

Club Events Program

Natives  Charlie and Greg are organizing an outing at Googong Sun 13 Apr.  0800-1200 meeting at the barbeque near the dam wall end of the park (Northern). They suggested having a barbeque lunch.

Coast Charter to Bermagui Sat 17 May.  Peter, Stef (and Bruce?) have indicated interest to Stuart – others are asked to move by 18 Apr.

Monaro Streams 24-25 May.  This appears on the outing program. Whilst it is close to the Coast Charter, there was some interest in it going ahead for those who are not saltwater fans. Allan will advertise and seek decision as to its progress.

Closure

Next meeting 14 May.
